The Turkey Trot raises money for many worthwhile causes. The proceeds of the Turkey Trot are divided up in a way that creates benefit for many groups and individuals. These figures are approximate depending on funds raised and current need:

• 50% to the Gurnee Community Church Youth Work Camp (Provide shelter for those less fortunate in the United States and abroad)
• $1000 to School District 56 Learning Disabled Department (They were instrumental in helping Jon adjust to hearing loss caused by chemotherapy)
• $1000-1500 to Chicago Children's Memorial Neuroblastoma Research Group
• The balance to a family in need, due to some type of catastrophic illness in the family (frequently a pediatric disease). This family or individual is usually a Gurnee resident or someone with a close tie to the Gurnee Community.
